چکیده

Cells coordinate adjustments in genome expression to accommodate changes in their environment. A drug in culture media for in vitro preclinical testing sometimes cause drastic regime shifting of genome expression system depending on the concentrations; e.g. primary cultured cells exposed to high concentrations of phenobarbital (≥1.0 mM) recovered their tissue-specific character as part of an individual organism. Drastic changes of transcriptomes interrupt discovering biologically significant genes in comparative transcriptomics. Here, we compared the amount of environmental changes and the amount of transcriptome changes using phenobarbital and the Chinese hamster ovary derived established continuous cell line CHO-K1; immortalized cell lines are accepted for in vitro preclinical testing then primary cultured cells.

The Application of a Non-Radioactive DD-AFLP Method for Profiling of Aeluropus lagopoides Differentially Expressed Transcripts under Salinity or Drought Conditions

Aeluropus lagopoides is a salt and drought tolerant grass from Poaceae family, distributed widely in arid regions. There is almost no information about the genetics or genome of this close relative of wheat that stands harsh conditions of deserts. Differential Display Amplified fragment length polymorphism (DD-AFLP) led to the improvement of a non-radioactive method for which many parameters we...

Identification of key genes and pathways involved in vitiligo vulgaris by gene network analysis

Background and Aim: Vitiligo vulgaris is an acquired, chronic skin and hair condition characterized clinically by loss of melanin, which, if untreated, is typically progressive and irreversible. The aim of the present study was to identify potential genes involved in the pathogenesis of vitiligo. Methods: One dataset of mRNA expression in patients with vitiligo (GSE65127) were obtained from ...

A Study to Assess the Role of Gluten Encoded Genes and Their Regulatory Elements in Bread Making Quality of Wheat

Introduction: Bread making quality is affected by gluten genes and balance between their expressions. Hence, it is necessary for a comprehensive research to study and compare all gluten genes and their regulating elements simultaneously. Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the molecular mechanism of bread quality in the level of coding genes and regulating elements via compa...

Diagnosis of the disease using an ant colony gene selection method based on information gain ratio using fuzzy rough sets

With the advancement of metagenome data mining science has become focused on microarrays. Microarrays are datasets with a large number of genes that are usually irrelevant to the output class; hence, the process of gene selection or feature selection is essential. So, it follows that you can remove redundant genes and increase the speed and accuracy of classification. After applying the gene se...

Investigating the Function of Predicted Proteins from RNA-Seq Data in Holstein and Cholistani Cattle Breeds

This study was performed to determine the digital expression profile of different genes expressed in Holstein and Cholistani breeds as well as to evaluate the performance of predicted proteins derived from differentially expressed genes between these two breeds using RNA-Seq data. For this purpose, the whole mRNA sequence for a blood sample of American Holstein and Pakistani Cholistani cattle p...
